John Dilkey

John was a native of Anderson, Ind., and a resident of Louisiana since 1979. A beloved musician,
composer and arranger, John retired from Tulane University as band director after 21 years. He
was a teacher for the Talented Music Program in St. Tammany Parish, a State Talented Music
Evaluator, and was a board member for the Slidell Symphony Society. A loving husband, father,
and friend, his talents, humor, and generosity will be missed.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Joan Dilkey; two children, Angela Dilkey Haas (husband,
Kenneth), and Ryan Dilkey (wife, Jennifer); and extended family in Anderson, Ind.
